Emergency Preparedness Exercise, March 14 -16
Emergency Response Training Alert
NC State will be hosting a large-scale emergency response training drill on campus March 14 through March 16, 2023. The drills will last from approximately 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. Classes will not be in session on these days for spring break.
Multiple federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies will participate in various training scenarios which will involve several marked and unmarked vehicles, a large uniformed presence and loud noises. The majority of the training will take place in the buildings near the NC State University Police Department along Wolf Village Way in Raleigh. Traffic flow and Wolfline buses will be directed away from the area via road closures and alternate routes.
The training exercises are not open to the public or the media. NC State is providing notifications to residents and business owners in the nearby communities of the training drills. Should you receive calls from the NC State community, please advise them it is only a training exercise and they should not be alarmed. Questions about the exercise may be directed to NC State Emergency Management and Mission Continuity (ncstateemmc@ncsu.edu).
